These two-compartment dog units are available in two sizes. The sides, back and compartment tops are solid panels; vertical corners are radiused for easy cleaning. The floor of each compartment slopes toward the back of the cage to create drainage and facilitate washing excreta into a gutter. Removable flat bar floor grids with 1/2" openings are standard; other style grids are available upon request

The cages come with heavy-duty doors that are fabricated of stainless steel rod. The doors mount to the cage on lift-off hinges and are secured in the closed position with two latches.

Each compartment includes a removable polyurethane resting shelf, two stainless steel bowls and a 3" x 5" identification card holder. The series 1036 and 1048 cages can be easily adapted to automatic watering system.

A separate metabolism collection tray is available as an option for Series 1036 and 1048 cages. The collection tray easily attaches to the back of the cage and is secured in place with a removable clip.

The Series 1036 and 1048 cages come stacked, and a movable cart is integrated into the design of the units. The carts come with highest-quality stainless steel casters that last through many years of service and autoclaving. Two fixed-directional casters and two swivel casters with lock mechanisms provide for easy movement of the units.

A optional flooring type called UniSafe Comfort Flooring is now available. This flooring is completely cagewash safe and provides a warmer smoother surface. The rounded holes will help prevent pad entrapments and reduce inter-digital cysts. The slots at the front of the panel will help reduce food spillage by retaining the food pellets.
